1.	What are mycorrhiza? How does it act as a biofertiliser?
Answer» The symbiotic association of fungi and roots of higher plants is called mycorrhiza. The fungal hyphae absorbs phosphorus from soil and passes it to the soil and thus enriches the soil. It also protects plants by providing resistance from root-borne pathogens, tolerance to salinity and drought.
