1.

What are different functions of neuron?

Answer»

All nerves have TWO main functions, these are: Receive signals: Nerves receive signals because they are irritable, meaning that they can respond to a stimulus.Once a stimulus is received by a nerve cell it converts it to a neural IMPULSE which passes along the nerve. As such, they function to transmit impulses from the Central Nervous System to the organs, glands, and muscles. This, in turn, controls the movement of DIFFERENT types of muscles as well as the activity of organs and glands in the BODY. Motor neurons are COMPOSED of multipolar neurons.Hope it helps you mate...☺☺
