Answer» All the members of homologous series can be represented by same general formula. Two adjacent homologous series differ by CH2 .two adjacent homologous series is differ by 14 molecular mass. Every functional group have there own homologous series and therefore there chemicals properties are similar bt there physical properties are different bcoz of increasing atomic mass and size after every step also bcoz there is difference of ch2 it means increase of ch2 atoms after every step All the compound of a homologous series show similar chemical properties : |
