We take graitational potential energ to increase roortionally with height, but U = -Gm1m2/r. How is that????? |
|
Answer» tion:Yes, we TAKE G as constant in problems because we are dealing with very small distances. in U =-Gm1m2/r² , For large change in r² U CHANGES slightly because G value is very small (6.67 X 10^-11 N m2/kg2)And as we are dealing problems with distances in METRES only ,g changes very slightly that we can neglect the change. During rocket propulsion g change should. be considered because the distances difference is large.HOPE IT HELPS YOU ! |
