1.

Two spherical balls of mass 10 kg each are placed with their centers 10 cm apart. Find the gravitational force of attraction between them. (Ans: 10⁴G)

Answer»

Mass of the each Spherical BALLS = 10 kg.

Distance between the Spherical balls = 10 cm. = 0.1 m.

USING the FORMULA,

F = Gm₁m₂/r²

∴ F = 6.67 × 10⁻¹¹ × 10 × 10/(0.1)²

∴ F = 6.67 × 10⁻¹¹ × 10⁴

∴ F = 6.67 × 10⁻⁷ N.

∴ F ≈ 10⁴ G

Hence, the gravitational force of the attraction between the spherical balls is 6.67 × 10⁻⁷ N or 10⁴G N.

Hope it HELPS.
