formula is 1/R = 1/ R1 + 1/R2 + 1/ R3

here R1 = 3 ohm

R2 = 6 ohm

HENCE total resistance = 1/3 +1/6

1/R = 2+1/6 = 3/6 =1/2

1/R = 1/2

so R = 2 ohm this is total resistance of circuit

Now given V = 4 VOLT

so by ohm's law V = IR

I = V/R

so I = 4 / 2 = 2 ampere
