SOLUTION:

Let the larger number be 'x' and smaller number be 'y'

CASE:- 1)

❐ Two numbers are differ by 3

According to question:-

➸ x –y = 3

➸ x = 3 + y....1)

CASE:- 2)

❐ Sum of greater number and twice the smaller number is 15.

According to question:-

➸ x + 2y = 15...2)

Put the value of 'x' in equation 2)

➸ 3 + y + 2y = 15

➸ 3y = 15 –3

➸ 3y = 12

➸ y = \sf{\cancel\dfrac{12}{3}}

Put the value of 'y' in equation 1)

➸ x = 3 + 4
