  • The common difference of both AP's is same.
  • First term of AP1 = -1
  • First term of AP2 = -3

To Find :

  • The difference between second terms of both AP's

Solution :

Let AP's be

1st AP → A1, a2, A3, ....

2nd AP → b1, b2, b3, ....

As it is given, the common difference(d) of both AP's is same.

Second term of AP1 = a1 = (- 1 - d)

Second term of AP2 = b1 = (-3 - d)

From the QUESTION, we can SAY that the difference between first terms of AP's is equal to the difference between second terms.

i.e, a2- b2 = -3 -(- 1)

a2 - b2 = -2

Therefore,

difference between second terms of AP's = -2
