Let y be the age of teacher that JOINED


So,


Total age of 8 teachers when 35 year old one did not LEAVE was,

=8x


When 35 year old leave and new one joined then,

Total sum of ages

= 8x -35 + y


Now,

The average of this increased by 2


SO,

(8x -35 + y)/8 = x + 2


8x -35 + y = 8x +16


-35 + y = 16


y = 35 +16


y=51


So,


A 51 year old teacher joined the SCHOOL
