1.

The volume of an object is 5000cm3 what will be the mass of water displaced

Answer»

Yes…it’s ACCORDING to ARCHIMEDES principle which states that if a body is partially or fully immersed in a fluid then upward force (Buoyant force) acting on the body is equal to weight of the fluid DISPLACED.

hence,

Mass of displaced WATER =(volume of displaced water )x (DENSITY of water)

And immersed body will displace volume of water equivalent to its own volume.

So volume of water = volumeof object

Hence Mass of water = volume of object x density of water
