Let the two numbers be x and y.

Sum of two numbers= 36

Difference between two numbers=9

According to the question,

x + y = 36...............(i)

x - y = 9................(II)

★By elimination :-

x + y = 36

x - y = 9

2X = 45

→ x = 45/2

→ x = 22.5

✪ PUTTING x = 22.5 in eq.(i)✪

x + y = 36

→22.5+y=36

→ y = 36-22.5

→ y = 13.5

Therefore, the two numbers are 22.5 and 13.5.
