To Find :-

  • Their present ages .

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

Let the present age of Avinash be x and present age of Ravi be y

Sum of their ages = 80

x + y = 80

2 × x = 80

2x = y + 10

=> y = 2x - 10

Putting the value of y in EQUATION ( 1 ) , we GET

x + 2x - 10 = 80

3x = 90

=> x = 30

Thus,

Present age of Avanish = 30 years

Present ages of Ravi = 2x - 10

= 2 ( 30 ) - 10

= 50 Years .
