The spring does not acquire energy when compressed . why? |

Answer» is required to compress a SPRING; the more COMPRESSION there is, the more force that is required to compress it further. Spring constant (k). If a spring is not stretched or compressed, then no work was DONE by an outside force (Fapplied) therefore it will not have gained or LOST any mechanical energy. |
