∴ 5X( 3X – 1)/2 = 60

⇒ 15x2 – 5x = 120

⇒ 3x2 – X = 24

⇒ 3x2 – x – 24 = 0

⇒ 3x2 – 9x + 8x – 24 = 0

⇒ 3x(x – 3) + 8(x – 3) = 0

⇒ (x – 3)(3x + 8) = 0

⇒ x – 3 = 0 or 3x + 8 = 0

⇒ x = 3 or x = -8/3

But x = -8/3 is not possible as side cannot be -ve.

Then x = 3

Hence, sides are AB = 3x – 1 = 8 cm

BC = 5x = 15 cm
