and,

WIDTH = 40 METRES

Find :-

length of rectangular field=?

Solution,

Let the ratio of length = 5x

and ratio of breadth = 2X

ratio of breadth = 2x

=> 2x = 40

=> x = 40/2

=> x = 20

So,

length of rectangular field is = 5x

= 5×20

= 100

Hence,

Its length is 100 metres.
