Father's age = ( x +9) years.

Ramesh's age = (y+9) years.

According to the question,

\implies\sf{y+9=\frac{5(x+9)}{12}}

\implies\sf{y+9=\frac{5(3y+9)}{12}}

\implies\sf{12y+108=15y+45}

\implies\sf{12y-15y=45-108}
