Given :

• Perimeter of ∆ = 49 cm

• One side is longer by 7 cm

• Other side is shorter by 5 cm

To Find :

• Each side of triangle

Solution :

• Let the side of ∆ be x

• According to the question :

→ x + x - 7 + x + 5 = 49

→ 3X - 2 = 49

→ 3x = 49 + 2

→ 3x = 51

→ x = 51/3

→ x = 17

• First side of ∆ = 17 cm

• Second side of ∆ = x - 7 = 17 - 7 = 10 cm

• Third side of ∆ = x + 5 = 17 + 5 = 22 cm
