Answer» Mass of the substance remains constant. It is the multiplication of density and volume that will remain unchanged in the whole universe. Somass of the object will remain 5 kganywhere in the universe. Weight has meaning only when an object having a specific mass is placed in an acceleration field, such as the gravitational field. Weight = Mass x Gravitational Constant Gravitational constant of Earth = 9.8m/s^2. Therefore, an object having 5 kg mass will have weight of 49N on Earth. Whereas, Gravitational Constant of Moon =1.622 m/s. Therefore, the same object having 5kg mass will have weight of 8.11N. |
