Let's Start :

Given marked Price (MP) of the jacket = Rs 500

First discount :

First discount = 20% of MP

= 20 % of Rs 500

= Rs ( 500 × 20 × 1/100 )

= Rs 100

Therefore, SP of the jacket after 20% discount

= MP - discount

= Rs (500 -100) = Rs 400

ADDITIONAL discount :

Additional discount = 10% of the SP after first discount

= 10% of Rs 400

= Rs ( 10 × 1/100 × 400 )

= 40

Solution :

Selling Price = (400-40)

= Rs 360
