1.

the length of a rectangle is 2 cm more than the width.If the area of the rectangle is 120 square cm,what is the perimeter of the rectangle?

Answer»

Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN:

Area of RECTANGLE=120 sq. CM

Now let width be x cm,

so length =x+2cm

to find perimeter we need width so,

Area of rectangle =lxb

i.e 120 =(x) x (x+2)

      120=2x+2; 120-2/2=x; 90= x

:. width is 90 and lenth is 92

now perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)=2(92 + 90)=2x182= 364 cm

:. perimeter of the rectangle is 364 cm.
