1.

the length , breadth and height of room are 6m,4m and 5m respectively. itholds 250 boxes . if all the dimensions of the room are doubled ,find the no of boxes it will hold

Answer» ONG>TOTAL volume of room = lbh = 6×4×5 = 120m³

Volume of 120m³ holds 250 boxes

So, volume of 1m³ holds 250/120 = 25/12 boxes.

Now, room dimensions are DOUBLED.

Total volume of room = (6×2)×(4×2)×(5×2) = 960m³

We know that, 1m³ hold 25/12 boxes.

Then, 960m³ holds (960×25)/12 = 2000 boxes.
