The left kidney is situated slightly lower than right kidney . Give reason

Answer» Yogita ingle it ia situated to accomodate pancreas not liver
The right kidney is placed at a slightly lower level than the left kidney in order to accommodate the largest gland/organ of the body, the liver. The liver bulges out on the right side of the body and then, tapers off to the left. Since, the abdominal cavity is limited in space, the body has been designed by nature to accommodate a large part of the liver by placing the right kidney at a slightly lower level as compared to the left kidney.\xa0
