The kinetic energy of a cat running with a speed of 10m/s is 500 J . Find the kinetic energy of the cat :i) If the speed is doubled ii) If the speed is tripled if you answer correctly I will follow u and give 5 star ratings

Answer»

1/2mv² = 500J

v = 10m/s

Thus,

1/2*m*10²= 500

m = 10kg

Now speed is doubled

So

v = 20m/s

K.E = 1/2mv²

= 1/2*10*20*20

= 2000J

Now speed is tripled

so v = 30m/s

K. E = 1/2mv²

= 1/2* 10*30*30

= 4500J

this you gotta your ANSWER
