1.

the ke of an object of mass, m moving with a velocity of 5ms_1 is 50 j. what will the kE when its velocity is increased four time

Answer»

Given

  • Kinetic Energy ,KE = 50 J

  • Velocity INCREASE four times = 4×5 = 20m/s

To FIND:-

  • Kinetic energy after increasing velocity ,KE'

Solution:-

As we know that the energy possed by body due to its motion is CALLED Kinetic Energy.

• KE = 1/2mv²

Firstly we calculate the mass of object.

Substitute the value we get

→ 50 = 1/2×m × 5²

100 = m ×25

→ m = 100/25

→ m = 4kg

So, the mass of object is 4kg.

Now, Calculating the kinetic energy when its velocity increased four times.

• KE' = 1/2mv²

Substitute the value we get

→ KE' = 1/2 ×4 × 20²

→ KE' = 2×400

→ KE' = 800 j

Therefore, the kinetic energy after increasing the velocity is 800 Joules .
