The graphs of the equations 2x+4y = 10 and y =2x+ 3 are |
Answer» EXPLANATION.Graph of the Equation, ⇒ 2X + 4y = 10. ⇒ y = 2x + 3. As we know that, From equation (1), we get. ⇒ 2x + 4y = 10. Put the value of x = 0 in equation, we get. ⇒ 2(0) + 4y = 10. ⇒ 4y = 10. ⇒ y = 10/4. ⇒ y = 2.5 Their Co-ordinates = (0,2.5). Put y = 0 in equation, we get. ⇒ 2x + 4(0) = 10. ⇒ 2x = 10. ⇒ x = 5. Their Co-ordinates = (5,0). From equation (2), we get. ⇒ y = 2x + 3. Put the value of x = 0 in equation, we get. ⇒ y = 2(0) + 3. ⇒ y = 3. Their Coordinates = (0,3). Put the value of y = 0 in equation, we get. ⇒ (0) = 2x + 3. ⇒ 2x = -3. ⇒ x = -3/2. ⇒ x = -1.5. Their Co-ordinates = (-1.5,0). Both CURVE INTERSECT at a points = (-0.2,2.6). |
