"The graph of the equation y=mx+c does not pass through origin." Justify the statement

Answer»

\huge\fcolorbox{black}{lime}{AnsweR:}

y = MX + c is the intercepting form of line of EQUATION,

where c is CONSTANT at y-axis ( 0, c),

m is the slope of the equation,

It is only passing through the origin when we PUT (0, 0) then satisfy the equation for this point.

e.g LHS = y =0,

RHS = mx + c = m× 0 + c,

LHS ≠ RHS,

So, this line not passing through the origin.
