1.

The body weight of 5 kg raised with an acceleration of 2 m/s2. Determine the work of the force during the first five seconds.

Answer»

work done = Force x displacement

force = MASS x acceleration

force = 5 x 2 = 10N

using the kinematics formula

s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} at {}^{2}

as the weight is initially at rest , u = 0

so,

s =  \frac{1}{2} (2)(5) {}^{2}

s = 25

Work = Fs

= 10 x 25

250J

hope it helps...
