The blue colour of cuso4 slowly dissapperss when zinc rod is dipped in |
|
Answer» The FOLLOWING chemical reaction takes place: Zn + CuSO₄ ---------> ZnSO₄ + Cu The BLUE colour of the solution is due to the presence of Copper sulphate (CuSO₄); As the reaction proceeds the Copper from CuSO₄ is slowly displaced by Zinc THUS forming ZnSO₄ which is COLOURLESS, so the blue colour disappears slowly and a colourless solution starts forming. Hope it helps!! |
