So let first talk about what were the different social group that participate in civil dis-obedient movement ,why did they join the movement,what were there ideas n what does swaraj mean to them....In countryside rich peasant communities like the Patidars of Gujurat n the Jats of Uttar Pradesh were active in the movement...being producer of commercial crop they were very hard hit by the trade depression n falling prices...as the cash income dissapered ,they found impossible to pay government revenue demand and the refusal of government to reduce a revenue demand !
