  • inside the rectangular region their is a circle of DIAMETER 7 cm. r=\frac{7}{2}

TO FIND:-

probability that it will land inside the circle

FORMULA USED:-

area \:of \:<klux>RECTANGLE</klux>=l*b

and

area\:of\:circle=\pi r^{2}

SOLUTION:-

area of rectangle ABCD = AB×BC

=28×22  ⇒ 616cm^{2}

= \pi *r*r

=\frac{22}{7} *\frac{7}{2} *\frac{7}{2}  ⇒ \frac{77}2} or 38.5cm^{2}

∴ probability that it will land inside the circle

=\frac{area\: of \:circle}{area \:of \:rectangle}

=\frac{38.5}{616} ⇒  \frac{385}{6160}

⇒\frac{1}{16}
