Sources of production:

Owing to its topography and resources, India has following four ways of

producing electricity:

Thermal power – Through coal
Hydro power – Through water
Nuclear power – Through nuclear energy
Others – Windmill, biogas, solar energy, etc.

The distribution of power production in the year 2012-13 is shown in table.
