| Answer» Most dirt is oily in nature and oil does not desolve in water . The soap molecules when disolved in water from nucleas with their tails inside and heads outside. This forms an emulsion in water. The micelles stay in the solution as colloid and will not come together to precipitate because of ion-ion repulsion. Thus, the dirt suspended in the nucleas can be easily rinsed away. | |
