Vector or cross product for two vectors A and B inclined at an angle θ, the vector or cross product is defined as A x B = A B sinθ , where , is a unit vector perpendicular to the plane of A and B. 

Geometrical interpretation of vector product: The magnitude of the vector product of two vectors is equal to 

(i) the area of the parallelogram formed by the two vectors as its adjacent sides and 

(ii) twice the area of the triangle formed by the two vectors as its adjacent sides.
