Answer» (i) WATER (ii) CO2 - Speed of the sound depends on density of the MEDIUM through which it travels. - Higher the density higher the speed of sound. - If we arrange given media by DESCENDING order of density - Water > CO2 > H2 Case I - - As density of water is more than that of CO2, sound will travel faster in water. Case II - - As density of CO2 is more than that of H2, sound will travel faster in CO2. Hope this helps you!
