Answer» Coal and charcoal do not burn by producing a flame.They only glow on combustion.This is because flame is formed\xa0when solid or liquid fuels vaporise on being heated.Cal and charcoal do not vaporise on heating ,hence do not burn with flame. Some substance burn with flame on reaction with oxyen because they get enough energy due to their reaction whereas some do not get enough energy and do not burn with flames |
