Solve : XP shutdown?

Answer»

Even after re formatting the hard drive to SOLVE the shutdown problem, the same occurs.  Must be a hardward problem, but possibly temp related.  SYSTEM temp is showing 91 degrees, and CPU temp is 109 degrees.  Would that be the problem, or it that NORMAL?  If normal, what is the next thing to try?if 109F thats fine if 109C then thats a problem!!!

I'd check the power supply to make sure it is healthy, a low voltage can cause this. Your MOTHERBOARD should show voltage levels in the system information CPU health screen. Voltages should not be off by much, CPU Core voltage and +5 is most critical voltage to MB operation. 12V is for drives and cooling fans etc.

What shutdown problem?Even 109F (43C), if it's an idle desktop, may be a problem.I'd check the power supply to make sure it is healthy, a low voltage can cause this.
