Solve : Xfinity Digital Converter?

Answer»

We have Comcast too provide are cable TV.  Thing is that we have a xfinity RNG110 Digtal Box.  It has several differnt connections that I have no clue about like rj45 and RCA.  We made it so that its ATTACHED to the HDMI, however, I want to add a vcr too it cause, there are shows an such that STILL on tapesShow some pictures of the connections on the box and your TV and the VCR.
In some instances a person has to get another gadget to tie it all together. here is the converter box.  The VCR is Emerson an has RCA an Coax in/outs.  The tv has One HDMI an connectors for a pc as well as coax

[year+ old attachment deleted by ADMIN]Wow! That is impressive. It does not appear to have an INPUT for a VCR tape. But it does have an output.
You problem is how to use the VCR to watch old TAPES. - Right?
The order VCRs had a cable in and cable out connection. You will need a short bit of coax cable with the standard connectors.

I don't see where the box hooks to you TV set. So I can only suggest that you put the VCR between the cable and the box. Your TV cable from the street  goes into the VCR. Run a short bit of coax out of the VCR into the box.  But the cable companies and now going to digital, The VCR will not get all channels.

Comcast should have some instructions on how to hook up an older analog VCR to your system. Ideally, the box shooed come before the VCR, but I don't see any way to do that on the back panel you showed me.
Well I was going to set mine up for recording purposes.  Yeah, basically, on the other set we would like too.  We do have a lot of coax but, the out from the box is HDMI?  There wasnt anything like that with the instuctions we got or what we could do with all these connectorsIf your TV ha a HDMI input, more than likely it has RCA inputs also.  Your VCR can connect directly to your TV and use your remote to change inputs from HDMI to AV for the VCR.  Almost all VCRs, except the very oldest, have RCA outputs.  That would be the simplest.  It seems the cable box has RCA inputs also that could connect to your VCR, but that seems like an extra piece of equipment that's not needed.I still want to be able to record with it though  Here is the devices
