Answer» Go to the DEVICE Manager>> Go to IDE/ATAPI Controllers. Select Primary Channel/Properties. On the device that does not have a device type, select disable instead of autodetect.
This example assumes you have 1 Hard drive on your primary IDE channel and a DVD-ROM(or CD) and CD-R on your two secondary IDE channels. OK why not try it?And that would improve performance.. How?On boot up.......of which i should have mentioned. but SCATTERBRAIN people always FORGET things.....the brain is faster then the finger......But that would require you to restart the device in Windows each time?
incidentally, I have no slaves in any of the computers so I can not TEST it. Have you tested it?Yes ......>.winxp pro......i still stick with my old system....
The best option.....,there is a know bug> is hibination here is another 101 tweaks that can improve windows XP
