Answer»

Ok I turn on my PC, it goes to a selection screen.

Start in safe mode (normal)

Start in safe mode (something else)

Start in safe mode (something else)

Start normal.

Use arrows too select (it won't let me do this and the keyboard is fine)

so the timer goes down and XP starts to load...After it is done it justs shuts off and restarts, this keeps repeating, how can I fix this? Quote

I have no idea, I was just browsing and it just turned off. The choices are

Start in safe mode (normal)

Start in safe mode (something else)

Start in safe mode (something else)

Start normal.

but I can't choose any, it is already on normal and the times runs out.Have you downloaded files or programs and installed or used these before turning off the computer?

Can you enter the BIOS? Will the keyboard work there? Quote

The keyboard only works when I can hit DEL and it goes into some blue and red screen. Quote

That would be the BIOS. So we have eliminated mechnical faults.

Try rapidly pressing F8 before Windows XP loads and choose last known good configuration if it lets you.

If not, you may need to perform a repair installation with your Windows XP CD-ROM.
