Answer» Does ANYONE know how many times I can install Windows XP Home Edition on a computer?
[glb]Flame[/glb]If its your pc .....then you can install it how many times you like.....if it for a member of the family......then the eula.....allows you to also do this....Ok great! Thanks a lot! (I just reformatted a HD today, and think I messed something up, and I MIGHT have to do it again... Wanted to make sure I wasn't running out of chances lol )
[glb]Flame[/glb]The perfect opportunity to get rid of Norton & McAfee. AVG Free, Sygate and MSoft ANTISPYWARE are a good combination Flame. Ps off your Realplayer & install Real Alternative instead.lol Thanks Fed! Although, this is not my new computer we're talking about... We're talking about the old computer... You know... The one what the Prince of Darkeness sent me lol Actually, I will have Norton, Microsoft AntiSpy and Sygate mixed with the Windows XP firewall
[glb]Flame[/glb]Also, how the RealPlayer got on this computer is still a mystery lol
[glb]Flame[/glb]Embeded with the aol install disk......spyware city.....real player?I do have AOL... Probably... Eiother that or I wante dot play a video and I needed to downlaod it... Probably just said what the heck lol
[glb]Flame[/glb]Use quicktime by apple.......or wmp.........I like WMP the most lol I kind of have issues with Apple products... Don't care for them too much... I'm very picky when it comes to software
[glb]Flame[/glb]I thought the installation and subsequent activation of XP was limited if hardware changes were involved such as installing on a different computer? (Maybe it's an URBAN myth) I know W2k (xp on steroids) has no such activations or limitations. BTW Flame, take a look at this link for your new installations (Raptor too) http://www.xona.com/2004/05/22.html although I have only read it very quickly it's one I plan to re-visit and slowly go through every suggestion. Thanks for the link! I'll have a look at that a little better when I have some extra time...

Hey, Flame:
The only time you may run into a problem is if you have made a major hardware CHANGE (like swapping out the motherboard). The database at the Microsoft website may think this is a different computer and not let you register the operating system. If this happens, you may still call Microsoft to register via the phone. The phone number is displayed on the registration splash screen.
Regards, Doc Thanks Doc!
