Solve : Windows XP Service Pack 3 download page? |

Answer» Read through the "Brief Description" and tell me if anything sounds... out of place... Download Size:97 KBThat ain't right. EDIT: if you scroll down, it appears there are just text documents up for download. The only thing I can find (of any question) within the paragraph titled "Brief Description" is the following comment: Quote This update also includes a small number of new functionalities, which do not significantly change customers’ experience with the OPERATING system. Since this is just an overview...the text file downloads are just available for informational purposes only. It also makes reference that SP3 also includes previously released UPDATES. My question is why include the previously released updates...if SP3 only adds additional functionalitites that the average end user won't need anyway? Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see anything else out of place... Can you enlighten us a little?Quote This white paper summarizes what is new in Windows XP SP3.This MEAN that they fix it or just tring to force us to install it?Quote from: squall_01 on July 05, 2008, 05:31:46 PM This mean that they fix it or just tring to force us to install it? This download is only a document that tell you what SP3 includes.crap that would be awesome if microsoft was giving XP away free i was really wanting windows movie maker but i have win 2k so im stuck. Here is standalone download: http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/windows-xp-service-pack-3.htmlTo get it directly from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5b33b5a8-5e76-401f-be08-1e1555d4f3d4&DisplayLang=enThere is so musch confusion in this thread if this was offtopic I would drop the lolwut pear now.Maybe a recap will clear up the confusion. quaxo's original post was incorrect. Basically, he did not study the Microsoft web page he posted carefully ENOUGH before starting this thread. If he had reviewed it more carefully, he would have realized the download files available from the web page are not the actual SP3 file, but info about SP3. Then, Broni posted a link to a third-party, i.e. not Microsoft, web site from which SP3 can be downloaded. I'd rather get the file directly from Microsoft, so I posted a link for it. That's the essence of this thread.I aint Downloadin This Quote from: !~*:.PINK Floyd.:*~! on July 07, 2008, 07:55:37 AM I aint Downloadin ThisWhat? SP3? The documentation about it? And, why not?No no no... My comment was about that they called it a "white paper" in the summary... even though it's a file. |
