Answer» I'm having a bit of trouble with my computer, i'm pretty sure I started it but I don't know exactly how:
I pressed a load of keys on my keyboard, In no particular order, and a menu came up i've never seen before. It had BASICALLY three options Normal (then a caption of writing) something beginning with D (i can't rememeber) and another one, which I can't REMEMBER either Sorry to be vague but this is all I remember. So I selected the one BEGGINING with D and it was loading for a second, than it went away and evething was fine. Today, i started my computer up again and it was all different. Instead of being a blue taskbar, it was plain grey. It said the printer was uninstalled and won't let me install it again because "the print spool service is not running".
I have no idea of how to fix this. I thought it would be the desktop theme but it won't let me change that, either, and I really would like it to go back to normal.
Any advice appreciated, thanksRe-boot and when the computer is STARTING up keep on tapping the F8 key until you see the choice screen.
Choose 'Last known good configuration' and highlight it using the up/down arrow keys. Press Enter.
Tell us if it goes back to 'Normal' when it re-boots.There ISNT the "last known good configuration" option.Just remembered something. Is your computer fully updated?
