Solve : Windows Vista Important Update Failed, Help?

I tried installing RECOMMENDED important updates.
One of them would not install, it FAILED with this message:

"Code 643 windows encountered an unknown error"

My questions:
1) What does this mean?
2) Is there anyway I can fix this?
3) Is this really a big DEAL or not, and just disregard, carry on as normal.

Do you know which UPDATE it was that didnt install correctly? Knowing which one will help greatly when it could be one of hundreds that didnt install.Find the updates which have failed and download them manually from the MICROSOFT website.
