Solve : Windows Vista and 7 Connectivity Problem...?

Answer»
I can't ACCESS internet in our domain using Windows Vista or Windows 7 OS. My unit says "Local Access Only". Wired or wireless, I've got the same issue. I have tried to google the issue but I only found 1 answer which is fixing the registry of the concerned unit by manually editing the Registry or running the "fix it tool" of Microsoft; unfortunately the fix it tool of Microsoft can not complete the process and produce only error in deployment. The error is DUE to DHCP Broadcast Flag which is not set to certain values the way it should be. My question is how can I fix the problem... what if we migrated completely to Windows Vista or 7,,, should change all the units one by one or there should be a configuration in my Windows 2000 Server to formally ADDRESS the issue at once.

Looking forward for your help... THANKS in advance.. Quote

Consider the following scenario:
    * You connect a Windows Vista-based computer to a network.
    * A router or other DEVICE that is configured as a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server is configured on the network.
    * The router or the other device does not support the DHCP BROADCAST flag.
In this scenario, Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address.
Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or from certain non-Microsoft DHCP servers

This might apply to you.Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or from certain non-Microsoft DHCP servers

that's the issue I'm talking about... it should not be on our server because were using the ones from Microsoft... and for the router, were using linksys'... the same router that other branch have...

I can't even manage to join it on our domain... I haven't tried this step provided by microsoft yet... the manual one
