i am trying to clear out programs not needed , do i need the following
windows live essentials
windows live sign in assistant
windows live sync
windows live upload tool
windows media format 11 runtime
windows media player 11

Keep Windows Media Player anyway.hello all, Not sure what you mean by "service pack 3 installed"? Are you running XP and have the service pack on that, or does IE 7 have a service pack to install? I use Firefox so much that I never consider what IE is doing or up to.
I would ditch the WIndows Media Player as WELL and get the VLC---VIdeo Lan player, it is great. It all depends which operating system you have, Vista is quite good for DVD's decoding but Xp is not.
