Solve : Windows ME--serious problem? |

Answer» I can no longer get windows ME to load. Here is what happens: I TURN on the computer and wait for it to boot. Then I come to a screen where I can choose between RedHat 9.0 or "DOS," which is really windows. If I choose windows, it starts to load normally--the screen with the windows logo comes up and then my current wallpaper is displayed. After that, SCANDISK starts to run. Whether I let scandisk run or close it before it starts, this is as far as I get. Windows stops loading, and no icons or start button APPEARS. If I TRY Ctrl-Alt-Del, I am able to close the tasks (about four) that are running, all of which are not responding.Would turning the auto scan disk off do anything?1st Windows isn't DOS...2 different things. |
