Answer» I am an oldie - continuing to use Windows for Wokgroups 3.1.1 on an (10 years) old PENTIUM 100/160 pc with 128 MB RAM despite having two othe systems - a PIII and a P4 - both working well on Windows XP! Old habits die hard,eh?! Recently, when CALLED, Win311 WG just displays the sign in logo and then exits with the error MESSAGE "Error Loading progman.exe". Re-expanding progman.ex_ from a source floppy has not helped. How to rectify this problem and keep my old man win 311 WG going? I still use an old '486 notebook with 16MB RAM. Windows 3.1 with Windows for Pen Computing (has a touch screen). Something in System.ini file has changed. What were you doing just PRIOR to this problem? I can't find anything that WOULD cause this error.
