Solve : Windows Can Not Find?

Answer»

When I restart my computer I get the following error message "Windows can not find C:\User\jfair\AppData\Roaming\12ee3\cde46.4e527a Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again." I can not find this on my computer. I have searched the registry, I have show hidden files and folders checked. I have run CCleaner. Can anyone help

[attachment deleted by admin to conserve space]Just to make sure your not up against a malware issue I would download and install and run malwarebytes the FREE edition:

https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/?referer=lp-malware_lp_form

Creating a new user account on the computer and making it admin privileges if you like and logging in with that acct instead of this one could also fix the issue as a clean profile would be created and this profile you have is damaged. Thanks for your input Dave, I'm a PAID user of Malwarebytes and it found nothing. I did download SpyBot and it found a few cookies and such but nothing related to the problem I am having. I did download and install "WhatsInStart" and it found C:\User\jfair\AppData\Roaming\12ee3\cde46.4e527a and I did have the option to disable it. There SEEMS to be 4 suspicious files in my startup folder, so I am doing more research at the moment.

[attachment deleted by admin to conserve space]If you look at the properties of the shortcuts it should show what they point to for a path. You then will know what they target maybe. The issue also likely was caused if you ran CCleaners registry cleaner...This all happened way before running CCleanerThen i would do Dave's suggestion above...find out where they lead...if not needed ...delete THEMIF it's in the startup folder you can safely delete it. There is nothing crucial that starts from that location - only processes / programs added to the startup folder by the user. Thanks AlanAlso SINCE they are in the roaming folder it's likely browser DLoads....
