I searched the FAQ and the archive, but didn't find any satisfied answer so far.

So here's my problem:

i'm trying to INSTALL W98 on a relatively old PC for my 9 year old son. When i boot the PC with the W98-cd rom, for some dark reason, the computer sees the internal memory as drive a:\ and the 3,5"" - drive as drive b:\. W98 wants to make a bootable disk during installation, but it can't be written on a:\, since this is the internal memory. How can i set the virtual drive a:\ into the real drive a:\? In other words: how can i tell the computer that W98 should make a bootbale disk on b:\ instead on a:\?

Many thanks in advance!If this is that old or has been sitting for quite some time i'd suggest replacing the CMOS battery which retains the basic info that tells the machine what devices are present...
