Solve : Windows 7 and All in One Computer? |

Answer» As I'm a dummy with computers ( Senior Citizen ) I need expert help. I have an old desktop and want an AIO, but I don't understand if the stuff I'm getting is any good. if someone would check this out and tell me if its what I need I would extremely grateful. The design of the Pavilion 23 is neither particularly impressive nor offensive. It's a close replica of the 27-inch HP Omni 27 Quad I reviewed earlier this year, only without the keyboard tray underneath the screen. The black-with-gray-accents design will fit unobtrusively in with any decor. If you're in the "anti" camp of the Great Glossy Screen Wars, you'll be glad to know that while the bezel surrounding the display has a sheen to it, the screen itself is reflection-free. You can also tilt the display back and forth along a modest range of motion via the kickstand on the back. From a CNET review. Real picky those review writers. (Maybe he was looking at an earlier version.) The HP machine is well received, but it is not something to brag about. Check to see if Walmart has it on SALE today. Labor day special. Also, if price means anything, there are other brands almost as good at better prices. I have low VISION, but I do not need a 27 inch display. I think 19 inch is good enough. When needed, I put on my strong glasses and get closer. Example: Best Buy has a lot of different brands at good prices. There is a 19 inch HP AIO that sells for less with the AMD chip instead of the Intel. All in One Desktops at Best Buy All show on that page are well-known brand names. That machine is a very good spec, way more than sufficient for your needs.I thank you both for the response. One other question please, is it better to have 2 DIMMS or 1, as I said before I have no clue what it is. and thanks again Short answer. Get just 1 for now. Long answer ... get two... Generally having two will give slightly better performance although the difference isn't massive. |
